Identity vs Image
Identity is who you are. Image is how you are viewed by others. Both influence the choices that you make but identity offers much greater longer term rewards. Whenever possible, base your key life decisions on the person that you are.
Here are a number of quotes from film about identity and image.
"I'm like a lot of people, which makes me kind of no one."
"Anything an environment makes you feel is about you, not the environment."
"Doesn't everyone think they're different but, pretty much, we're all different in the same way."
"We choose every day who we become."
"Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else's opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation."
"Who are we? Are we simply what others want us to be?"
"We're so accustomed to disguise ourselves to others that, in the end, we become disguised to ourselves."
"It's time for me to be who I am instead of who I'm supposed to be."
"It's the only question that matters - who are you?"
"Never be afraid of who you are."
